About us
Coordination Committee of the Russian Compatriots Assembly (CCRCA) was established in April 2013. It is registered by Comissioner of VO and also by Malta national agency Agenzia Zaghzagh as a voluntary organization working with youths.
Our members are Maltese residents of Russian origin. Among our members also quite a few local organizations – voluntary, religious, educational , sports and charitable institutions and at present our NGO is an umbrella organization for this institution established by Russian compatriots and helps them to work together, to coordinate their activities and pool their resources.
For the past few years the Russian community in Malta has been the third largest diaspora according the official statistic data.
The Russian community is not only one of the largest but also one of the most organized and active diasporas. Domiciled in Malta and having a great respect towards the country of residence, members of the community try to keep a sense of their national identity, save the attachment to rich century-old Russian traditions, which they are always ready to share with others.
The cultural and social schedule of the Russian community is always full of events. All year round there are different festivals, concerts, exhibitions, lectures, contests, round tables, etc. organized by Russians. Our events draw many locals and tourists, which shows the great interest of Maltese people towards the Russian culture.
We are open for cooperation and work hand in hand with other Diasporas, as well as governmental and social instiWutions in Malta. Our umbrella community organization C.C.R.C.A. represents the Russian diaspora in different Maltese institutions – governmental agency for youths Agenzia Zaghzagh, Ministry for Social Dialogue, Consumer Affairs, and Civil Liberties, Identity Malta et cetera. We believe that this cooperation should become closer as it facilitates the process of integration especially for newly-arrived families.
Welcome to our website! We would be glad to bring you closer to our community and we hope to see you at our events as a guest or a participant.
